General Studies

This KPC degree can be considered a 'transfer' degree or it can stand alone as a two-year level of academic achievement.

Overview

Do you know your goal is to eventually transfer to a four-year program? Or maybe you haven't yet settled on your career path but want to get started in college right away? You can earn an associate of arts degree at KPC campuses or with careful course selection and sequencing, completely online, and have a great start in general studies.

The Associate of Arts is a two-year degree that provides a solid foundation in mathematics and written and oral communication, the natural and social sciences, the humanities and fine arts. The AA degree prepares students for career advancement and baccalaureate programs and to better understand their world.

It is very important to work with an advisor to put together a program that meets your unique needs. If you are planning on transferring into a four-year program it is especially important to seek advising so the AA degree will articulate and/or enhance whatever program you decide on.
