Gender Inclusiveness at KPC
The University of Alaska Anchorage strives to create and sustain inclusive, supportive,
safe, and nondiscriminatory communities for all students. One aspect of creating a
supportive environment is providing safe, accessible, and convenient restroom and
locker room facilities. Students, staff, faculty, and campus guests are welcome to
use the restroom and locker room facilities that correspond to their sex or gender
identity, or utilize restrooms that are designated gender inclusive.
Lactation Spaces
You can breastfeed your baby on campus in any location you are “otherwise authorized
to be” – this means you are welcome to breastfeed in any public campus location. If
you prefer more privacy, there are spaces available in the following locations:
Kenai River Campus (Soldotna)
- Ward 200M1 (Across from the Faculty Suite at the top of the stairs)
- Ward 200W1 (Across from the Faculty Suite at the top of the stairs)
- Goodrich 100W3 (Closed for construction)
- McLane 100M4 (Across from Student Union)
