Be sure to follow these steps for SUCCESS!
- Meet with an advisor regarding registration approval and procure two sets of fingerprints
and provide them to the campus advisor
- Take the ACCUPLACER placement test for English and the ALEKS placement test for math
(contact specific campus)
- Register and pay for the 6-credit course
- Mail the advisor-approved federal background check packet to the State of Alaska
- Obtain proof of immunization (prior to the deadline listed in application packet)
KRC Steps for Success:
Steps 1-3 can be done concurrently.
- Fill out the KRC CNA Application
- Meet with Admissions Counselor Richelle Frankovic-Spencer regarding registration.
- Take the ACCUPLACER placement test for English and the ALEKS placement test for math
(contact KRC testing center).
- Procure two sets of fingerprints and provide them to the admissions counselor. Bring
payment for background check to this meeting.
- Register and pay for the 6-credit course.
- Obtain proof of immunizations or positive antibodies:

- 2 MMR vaccines (measles, mumps, and rubella)
- 2 Varicella Zoster vaccines (chicken pox)
- 3 Hepatitis B vaccines
- Current flu vaccine (can do a religious exemption if applicable)
- COVID 19 vaccine (can do a religious exemption if applicable)
- Obtain a tuberculosis screening (PPD skin test) or Quantiferon Gold (QFT) blood test.
Can be done at your primary care provider. A PPD skin test can be done at the KPC
Student Health Center ($15).
