Biography

Jeffrey Laube joined the KPC Process Technology department in 2009. Before that, Professor Laube was employed for twenty-two years working in the process industries. He worked at the Agrium Kenai Nitrogen Plant as an ammonia board operator and in the maintenance department. He also assisted his former Agrium co-workers to find new jobs when Agrium closed.

  • Coached and escorted numerous teams of KPC students to the national troubleshooting skills competition. 
  • Nationally recognized by North American Process Technology Alliance (NAPTA)

  • Invited speaker at the NAPTA Instructor Skills Workshop (9/12, 9/13, 9/14, 9/15. 9/16, 9/17, 9/18)

  • Invited speaker at Sintronics conference (9/11, 9/12, 9/15, 9/16)

  • Consistently assists students and employers to ensure high placement rate

  • Advises students

  • Contributing author for NATPA process technology textbooks: Introduction to Process Technology; Safety, Health, and Environment; Equipment

  • Served on the Board of Directors for APICC (Alaska Process Industries Career Consortium) 2012-2018
